A Note on the City’s Current Hiring Climate:
The City has declared a fiscal emergency for the current fiscal year (July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026).
Due to this, hiring through the LA Local Hire Programs will be very limited during this period. The programs will continue to accept applications and refer candidate names for hiring consideration when possible.

The City of Los Angeles seeks to connect all Angelenos to employment opportunities, including those who may face barriers to employment. The Targeted Local Hire Program and the Bridge to Jobs Program are efforts to help under-served and under-employed populations find an alternative pathway to rewarding Civil Service careers with the City of Los Angeles. These two programs create a unique opportunity for individuals to enter into Civil Service outside of the City’s traditional pathway.
